Former Jeonnam provincial government building remains a symbolic place of the Gwangju democratization uprising as it clamed the many lives of citizen forces who resisted to the end during the period of the uprising. Several small video cameras were installed inside of the model of the former provincial government building made with foamboards, and the spaces inside of the model are shown in real-time through several monitors that are connected to each camera. The monitors are place on the shelves similar to walls, and visitors enter into the gaze of history while walking in the space.

 

(구)전남도청은 민주화항쟁 당시 시민군이 끝까지 저항하며 수많은 희생자가 발생한 광주민주화항쟁의 상징적인 장소이다. 폼보드로 제작된 구 전남도청 모형 내부에 다수의 소형비디오카메라를 설치하고 각각의 카메라와 연결된 다수의 모니터를 통해 모형 내부의 공간들이 실시간으로 보여진다. 모니터들은 공간을 이루는 벽처럼 구성된 선반에 놓여지며 관객은 이 공간을 거닐며 역사의 응시 속으로 들어간다.
