Exhibiting 'Pleasure factory’ '유쾌한 공작소' 전시하기 (2003)

 

A model of exhibition 'Pleasure Factory' in Seoul Museum of Art, 9 video cameras, 9 monitors

This model is made after the ‘Pleasure Factory’ exhibition hall which was the project exhibition of Seoul Museum of Art in 2003. Unfinished exhibits are placed inside the model, and few small cameras take images of the structure of model and spectators. The ceiling of the model is open so that visitors can touch and move the items inside model and have fun with the image of their huge hands. 

 

2003년 시립미술관 기획 전시인 ‘유쾌한 공작소’ 전시장을 건축모델로 만들었다. 모델의 내부에는 완성되지 않은 전시물들의 모형들이 이곳저곳에 놓여있다. 그리고 그 사이사이에  설치된 여러대의 소형 비디오 카메라들이 모델전시장 내부와 그 내부를 들여다보는 관객들의 모습을 찍고있다. 모델의 천정은 열려있어서 관객들은 천정구조물 사이로 직접 손을 넣어 모형들을 만지기도 하고 카메라를 통해 찍혀지는 거대한 스스로의 손을 보며 즐거워한다.
